Struggling with access issues on site?

At Alternative Piling Solutions, we provide specialist poor access site solutions using advanced helical screw piling systems. This innovative foundation method is ideal for sites where access is restricted or unsuitable for traditional piling equipment.

Helical screw piles can be installed quickly and efficiently with minimal machinery, making them perfect for tight spaces, rear garden projects, urban developments, and locations with limited or no vehicle access. This low-impact solution also reduces ground disturbance and is well-suited to environmentally sensitive areas.

Our experienced team delivers tailored piling solutions across the South West, ensuring reliable foundations even in the most challenging site conditions.

One of the main advantages is that it requires minimal equipment, allowing installation in tight spaces such as rear gardens, narrow pathways, or built-up urban areas where traditional piling rigs cannot reach.

This method is also quick to install, reducing project time and labour costs, while causing very little ground disturbance—making it ideal for environmentally sensitive areas or sites with nearby structures. Additionally, helical screw piles produce minimal noise and vibration, which is beneficial for residential projects or locations close to existing buildings

The Process.

On sites or homes where access is awkward or limited, piling can be extremely difficult to achieve.

Our hand-held system solves this as it utilises equipment small enough to fit through a space no bigger than a normal doorway, enabling us to successfully install our screw piles.

Peace Of Mind.

In this type of installation, a structural engineer will design the foundation and calculations using the 60R or 76R screw piles, which are used with the hand-held system. The quantity of piles can be increased to ensure that the correct loads are achieved to support your building.

Quality Assurance.

We can use two different types of hand-held torque heads, one fits a 60R pile which can achieve a safe working load of 48 kN per pile or a 76R screw pile which can achieve a load of up to 80 kN per pile.
